Stretching from North Bondi through to Burning Palms they cover the busiest operational area in NSW and have spent the year introducing a range of new initiatives.
Some of their highlights last season include launching the community educations app RockSafeFish, contributing to the SLSA Drone technology working committee, delivering a series of workshops focusing on the development of their members, and supporting the clubs to receive Quality Club accreditation.
Perhaps their most important achievement this year was to become the first Branch in Australia to have a publicly accessible defibrillator deployed at every beach in their area 24/7 after successfully sourcing sponsorship.
This move could well prove to be a lifesaver and will benefit the wider community.
Surf Life Saving Sydney continues to be innovative and have a desire to constantly improve the lifesaving experience for the benefit of all their members.
The 2017 SLSNSW Awards of Excellence are proudly presented by Stramit Building Products. Over 300 of Surf Life Saving’s most outstanding lifesavers, athletes, educators, coaches, and administrators from around the state gathered at Sydney’s iconic The Hilton Hotel to celebrate the season that was.
