SurfLIFE Magazine Issue 39 – May 2019

In this edition, we bring the Australian beach culture and colour to the city as the official charity partner of the 2019 Sydney Lunar New Year Festival. We explore the significant impact drones are having on our search and rescue and beach surveillance capabilities. We also look back at the successful mass rescue of 40 people at North Cronulla in February and the impressive efforts of two young lifesavers who didn’t hesitate to assist a swimmer in distress.

In this edition of SurfLIFE, we celebrate a new partnership with Qantas, helping us spread beach safety messages to tourists and international visitors and the launch of Surf Life Saving’s rip safety campaign urging people to stop, look and plan before entering the water. 

2018 Surf Life Saving NSW Annual Report

The 111th Annual Report for Surf Life Saving New South Wales details the achievements and performance of the organisation for 2017–18 and highlights the scope of our activities. Over 75,000 members, including almost 20,000 active patrolling members worked together to achieve the key goals of saving lives, creating great Australians and building better communities.
