In the September edition, we celebrate the wonderful volunteers who were recognised at our annual Awards of Excellence, examine the stats from the year that was following the launch of the 2022 Coastal Safety Report, and congratulate the latest SLSA Hall of Fame inductees.
We launch the start of the season with the NSW Premier at the iconic Bondi Beach, acknowledge the importance of rock fishing safety with the launch of a new education program, and reflect on the culturally sensitive lifesaver training program that saw a group of Muslim men earn their Bronze Medallions.

In the June edition, we reflect on the Multicultural Drowning Prevention Short Film Launch, hosted by SLSNSW, celebrate the success of our future star athletes at the Junior Australian titles and congratulate the 2022 Junior Lifesavers of the Year.
We acknowledge the five SLSNSW members who received Emergency Services Medals, speak to the organisation’s International Programs and Business Coordinator about the importance of ties across Asia, and look back on the final round of the IRB Premiership before State Championships in July.
In the December edition, we congratulate the 2021 Lifeguard of the Year Amber Whipple, announce our new partnerships with Ingenia Holiday Parks and Oakberry Acai and celebrate another successful year of our annual Beach to Bush program that brings vital water safety education to rural and remote communities.
