Nearly 60 of the state’s brightest young lifesavers will come together on the Northern Beaches in April for the Ingenia Holiday Parks Junior Lifesaver of the Year (JLOTY) Program and the Youth Opportunity Makers (YOM) Workshop – two of Surf Life Saving NSW’s flagship youth development programs. The Surf Life Saving NSW Awards of Excellence celebrates the incredible people in our organisation and the impact they have on their clubs, fellow members, and in their local communities. With 21 awards on offer at this year’s celebrations, finalists from across the state will be recognised for their commitment, passion, and hard work.
From Feb 16th to March 3rd 2024, a number of surf clubs across the state will be holding Rainbow Beach days. These events will feature a variety of activities to showcase that Surf Life Saving is for everyone and everyone is welcome at the beach. Bondi SBLSC will be running their yearly Pink Patrol. This event will help raise awareness about the various roles and opportunities available to women in lifesaving, helping to empower females to build their operational capability and capacity. The aim is to increase the number of women actively patrolling, as well as see more women represented

Evans Head-Casino SLSC is hosting their second pink patrol to help celebrate the incredible work women do within Surf Life Saving. This is a 9am-2pm patrol and is open to any female within Surf Life Saving. The club are planning to meet for dinner afterwards at the surf club starting from 5pm. This is open
