In this role within the organisation, you will be reporting to the Development Manager, working in partnership with a range of volunteers and members to promote and deliver a newly defined set of programs and services to members in the metro area.

Surf Life Saving NSW is the state’s primary water safety and rescue organisation and one of the largest volunteer movements in the country. We support more than 76,000 members in 129 clubs to serve the community through the provision of beach patrol services, coastal emergency response, training and education, sports and junior development.

SLSNSW’s Development Team operates across New South Wales, supporting Clubs with work related to continuous improvement and to member recruitment, retention and welfare.  It also acts as a conduit between SLSNSW, Branches and Clubs in terms of feedback and issues management.

Some of the duties will include
  • Develop ongoing relationships with key volunteers and staff in Branches and Clubs
  • Support the development and implementation of development plans for SLSNSW Clubs
  • Help to keep SLSNSW Clubs up to date with changes and new initiatives across SLSNSW
  • Support SLSNSW clubs to meet their annual compliance requirements through ongoing education, monitoring and provision of administrative support.
Essential experience required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated success in the delivery of projects against a plan.
  • Current or past Surf Life Saving knowledge and experience.

Experience in delivering support that contributes to organisational sustainability or knowledge of best practice in club administration would be an advantage.
