November 2019 marks 100 years since the inception of South West Rocks SLSC, which has been the hub of the community over many generations.

President, Rod McDonagh is proud of the club’s achievements, “This centenary celebration is one that encompasses members, both past and present, as well as supporters, sponsors and the wider community. Our club has always been recognised as one of the most forward thinking clubs of its size within the Surf Life Saving movement”.

Events will be held throughout the season to celebrate this milestone. “We are inviting all members of the community to join us at 11am on Sunday 22nd September on Main Beach to make the number 100 for a photo to be taken for our 100 year collection,” Mr McDonagh added.

Saturday 28 September marks the official start of the season and South West Rocks SLSC will be celebrating with an Open Day. This day will include the Surf Life Saving Mid North Coast ‘Raising of the Flags’ at 9.30am and will follow with some organised games for the kids, jumping castle, balloon making and a BBQ. This is a great opportunity to come and check out the club and meet the committee and its members. Celebrations will continue into the evening with tickets for the Centenary Ball currently available to purchase.

The official 100 Year Reunion will be on the first weekend of November. For more information on these events please see or contact
